Welcome to Holy Cross Lutheran!

Our Mission at Holy Cross is to exalt the Lord Jesus in our worship, to equip believers through faithful teaching, and to encourage Christ-like love and service.

Our Beliefs

Holy Cross is a member church of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod. We teach the love of the Triune God, the Father, who created all things , the Son, Jesus Christ, who became human to suffer and die for the sins of all people and to rise to life in ultimate victory over sin, death and the power of the devil, and the Holy Spirit, who creates faith through God’s Word and the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion.

Being Lutheran, we uphold the Bible based teachings of Martin Luther who taught from the teachings of the Bible that:

– We all are under the GRACE of God: God loves the people of the world, even though they are sinful, and do not deserve His love, He sent His only Son, Jesus, to love and save those who are apart from God;

– We BELIEVE in the Good News of the Bible that teaches us that Jesus suffered and died for the sins of all the world, and that He purchased and won forgiveness and eternal life for all. Those who hear and believe in this Good News receive forgiveness for all their sins and a life that will never end, a life that someday will be lived in heaven forever with God;

– The BIBLE is God’s Holy Word. It is entirely true and contains no errors. The Bible is the main source for our Christian doctrines and teachings.

Holy Cross belongs to the Missouri Synod. Synod means “walking together.” Churches like Holy Cross choose to belong to the Synod, so that together we may operate schools, high schools, colleges, and seminaries. Together, congregations in Synod also fund missionaries to take the good news of Jesus’ love to all nations and to lead and teach people about Jesus and all He has done for us.
